Bubur Kacang


(Green Bean Porridge) Serves 6 - 8

Ingredients

  • 500 gm green beans (the beans used to grow beansprouts)
  • 4 cups coconut milk
  • 2 pieces palm sugar
  • 2 screwpine leaves - washed and knotted
  • pinch of salt

Method

  1. Boil the green beans until soft. Drain well.
  2. Boil the coconut milk, screwpine leaves and the cooked beans.
  3. Add the palm sugar and a pinch of salt.
  4. Continue boiling until the gravy thickens.
  5. Serve hot, removing the screwpine leaves.
