Daging Goreng Satay


(Fried Satay) Serves 4 - 6

Ingredients

  • 600 gm beef - cut into bite sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 stalks lemon grass - ground finely
  • 2 cm piece ginger - ground finely
  • 2 cm piece galangal - ground finely
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tsps sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups oil

Method

  1. Marinate the beef with the ground ingredients, turmeric powder, salt and sugar. Leave aside for 4 hours.
  2. Heat oil and fry the meat until cooked.
  3. Serve immediately with chilli sauce or Sambal Oelek
