Ayam Goreng Asam
(Fried Chicken in Tamarind) Serves 6 - 8
- 5 chicken breasts
- 1.5 tbsps sesame oil
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic - crushed
- Half cup tamarind juice
- 2 tbsps chilli paste
- 3 tsps salt
- Flatten the chicken breasts with the side of a
cleaver. Marinade with all the ingredients. Leave
aside for 30 minutes.
- Place on a rack under the grill and cook until
both sides are golden brown, basting with extra
